The Pacific Rim’s Leading Authority on Psychological Systems of Influence

What if people were influenced in ways they didn’t even know existed?

For people who lack awareness and understanding of the vast array of psychological systems of influence, the answer is to work with Jay Greathouse to empower your free will by escaping unconscious servitude!

My deep knowledge of psychological systems of influence increases situational awareness, and buffers group psychotic decisions resulting in wiser choices. I love to see the reaction when I help liberate a client’s imagination and open their mind to the possibilities of a stochastic universe.

I help people free themselves from psychological systems of influence using the

  • latest technology,
  • traditional methods and
  • ancient techniques.

The library at my childhood home contained a diverse selection of books on religion, philosophy, American history, and personal growth and development. At the time, I remember how they how all seemed to overlap and reinforce each other without ever really providing useful answers about improving the human condition.

During the turbulent 1960s, I found myself in an environment encouraging new exploration into the roots of human consciousness. At the time, it appeared few knew what they were talking about and I began to look elsewhere.

No one, it seemed to me, really had a handle on human motivation, illuminating the why behind the things we do, until I started to read about the real world results of Madison Avenue. Madison Avenue is home to the American advertising industry, multinational marketing gurus and the rarefied atmosphere of public relations.

The work of Edward Louis Bernays, who combined early ideas on crowd psychology with the psychoanalytical ideas of his uncle-twice-over, Dr. Sigmund Freud, blew my mind. Besides everything else he did, Edward Louis Bernays experimentally proved manipulative subconscious control, by manipulating the populations of nations both in the marketplace and at the polls.

The implementation of Bernays’ work required financial resources only available to governments and multinational corporations. Accessing the subconscious outside of Bernays’ work led me to the visual and performing arts and I moved to the West coast in search of answers. My real education began at the University of California – San Diego (UCSD) in 1985.

At UCSD I took double majors in the Visual Arts and the social science of Communication. In this training ground for the next generation of the social elite, in the heart of the largest military base in the world, I came to understand the human forces influencing the human condition.

The scope and workings of cultural history illuminated the power and limitations of the public media central to the role of mediation in human activity. My intention to apply the techniques of Edward Bernays towards improving the human condition crashed upon the realization that if we only beat Bernays’ heirs at their own game, we lose.

Discovering how people can protect themselves from the techniques of Edward Bernays became essential. Equally important, I learned that techniques for accessing the subconscious could also be used for liberation, as well as for control. The intersection of these two areas suggested methods of integrating personal growth and development with any form of human mediation.

I was awarded the University of California Regents Scholarship, the highest honor achievable by undergraduates in the UC system. I graduated summa cum laude and then attracted the Federal Jacob K. Javits Fellowship, which completely funded my graduate work to the completion of my Masters of Fine Arts.

At Humboldt State University (HSU) I applied my theories in the Theatre Arts Department, focusing upon integrating personal growth and development with mental preparation and rehearsal technique. I excelled at supporting people expressing themselves through theatre and film and in the associated technical arts and crafts skills.

While working with people in preparation for a production I famously forestalled all interpersonal problems, an HSU Theatre Arts Department first, by integrating personal growth and development with rehearsals and technical briefings for the casts and crews. I explored many facets of the personal growth and development potential in human creative activity.

I worked with high-potential at-risk high school students for 3 years through Project Upward Bound at Humboldt State University. Regardless of the subject matter of the classes, the learning objectives always integrated personal growth and development and I earned consistently high evaluations from both students and administration.

In 1996 UCSD recruited me to bring their digital media equipment online and support the Visual Arts Department faculty and graduate students. This valuable experience allowed me to demonstrate personal growth and development integrated learning with highly motivated intelligent people extremely sensitive to the psychological challenges of learning new technologies.

Dissatisfied with the growth opportunities at UCSD, I went to University of Hawaii – Maui Community College as a software trainer. I taught classes how to use Adobe’s Photoshop and Illustrator, and Macromedia’s Dreamweaver, based upon my experience training faculty and graduate students at UCSD. My experience forestalling psychological challenges with personal growth and development integrated learning created students eager to write glowing evaluations.

Through student recommendations, I became known to the Maui office of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. I was the only software trainer acceptable to the most severely affected post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) veterans.

The issues that developed between the PTSD veterans and the other trainers never emerged with me. During this time I gained new insights by seeing personal growth and development integrated learning overcome PTSD symptoms first hand.

In 2005 Liz and I were rebuilding recycled computers, reinstalling software and giving them away to families who had a need but could not afford one. Personal growth and development integrated software training was always included, which contributed in no small way to the success of our program.

I started teaching classes that University of Hawaii – Maui Community College students requested about building websites and running an online business. All student problems around learning new technologies and running a new business were resolved with my integrated personal growth and development.

Now I offer a self-empowering personal growth and development system that really works, a self-empowering system designed to set people free to discover how they can help make things better, in their own way, in their own space, in their own time. The more you understand the nature of our stochastic universe, the more apparent the value of personal growth and development integrated learning becomes.

During my life I have become convinced that the potential for success in the arts, education and business is always enhanced by integrated personal growth and development. Often, it appears essential for success because the critical problems are usually psychological.

The more I understand about the human condition the more convinced I become that the pursuit of integrated personal growth and development by anyone benefits everyone.
